Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy covers the macfree.dev website, the MacFree Unity Editor extension ("MacFree"), and the MacFree Shorts publishing tool, all made by DigiForce. Questions: digiforcebusiness@gmail.com.
The website
macfree.dev has no accounts, no forms and no analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website, its host (Vercel) processes standard request data such as IP address and browser type to serve pages and keep them secure. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
MacFree in the Unity Editor
- Your credentials stay with you. The App Store Connect API key, GitHub or Unity Build Automation tokens and the signing files MacFree creates are stored in your project's
UserSettings/folder on your computer, which MacFree keeps out of version control. DigiForce never receives them. - They are sent only where your build needs them: to Apple (App Store Connect) and to the build service you choose (GitHub Actions or Unity Build Automation). Secrets sent to GitHub are encrypted before upload. Those services handle the data under their own privacy policies.
- Anonymous usage reports, only if you agree. If you opt in, MacFree sends short reports about what it tried and how it ended (for example "upload failed: invalid credentials"), your OS and CPU type, and a random install id. Values you entered, tokens, keys, emails, repository names, file paths and IP addresses are removed before sending. Reports are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) and used only to fix bugs and improve MacFree. You can turn this off at any time in MacFree's settings; nothing is sent without your consent.
MacFree Shorts (YouTube publishing)
MacFree Shorts is an internal tool that uploads DigiForce's own videos to DigiForce's own YouTube channels with the YouTube Data API. It asks for permission to upload videos and to read basic channel information (to confirm it is posting to the right channel). It does not access anyone else's YouTube account or data. The authorization is stored as an encrypted secret in DigiForce's private build settings and can be revoked at any time from the Google account's security settings (myaccount.google.com/permissions).
MacFree Shorts' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. YouTube use is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Sharing and selling
DigiForce does not sell personal data and does not share it with anyone except the service providers named above, which are needed to run these products.
Your choices
You can stop usage reports in MacFree at any time, delete the UserSettings/ folder to remove stored credentials, and email us to ask what we hold about you or to have anonymous reports deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
